Welcome Asus Eee To Low-Cost Laptop Space

asus-eee.jpgThe low-cost laptop space keeps getting more and more interesting.

Today, Engadget posted on Asus’ future plans for their low-cost laptop brand called Eee.

Back in June, BUZZYEAH posted that Asus was trying to develop an $189 laptop. It looks like the Eee laptops are the results of that effort.

The low-cost laptop space is getting so interesting that we have decided to add a new category to BUZZYEAH called “Low-Cost Laptop“. It’s over on the left side bar under “Categories”.

Note: We still think that developing nation markets will skip laptops and jump straight to mobile. But, low-cost laptops will definitely make their mark in certain markets (just not with the under $2 a day crowd).

Too bad we forgot to add the low-cost laptop space to our “What To Look Forward To From BUZZYEAH in 2008″ post.

  • I had the chance to look and test closely this model and the other two: MSI Wind U100 and Acer Aspire One. After not so long time spent with these netbooks, I chose to get myself the Acer Aspire One. I think the design is the best, and its firmly made. On performance they were kind of the same with the MSI Wind U100 which both outperformed the Asus EeePC 701.
