I Heart Media Temple

You know what top notch service, support and answering your phones in under 30 secs (the three times I called) gets you?

A huge smile on my face, a post on my blog and me telling all my friends about your company.

Media Temple kids are rock stars. Seriously. I’m sure Seth Godin is beaming somewhere.

I have been eyeing Media Temple’s $20 per month Grid-Service for some time now.

And, today my ex-hosting service Hostican gave me the perfect reason to switch over: I couldn’t log-in to BUZZYEAH’s Wordpress admin because “my account was using too much CPU/memory.”

My blog is small and I don’t have a huge amount of daily traffic. Growing but still small.

Still, I couldn’t view or login sporadically throughout the morning or afternoon.

Thank you, Hostican, because Media Temple is awesome.

Note: I don’t have top notch technical prowess with stuff like databases, coding etc.

So, when I propagated my blog’s nameservers before I uploaded my Wordpress content back-up to Media Temple I got really scared.

Fortunately, Media Temple support was really cool and helped me get everything figured out quickly (they seriously answer their phones in like 30 secs if not immediately).

If your current hosting service is giving you any reason to jump ship I would definitely think about moving to Media Temple. :)

Oh yeah, and I can totally access my Media Temple Account Center with their new iPhone enabled control panel.

Check it out:

  • DANG BALLER

I tried to visit the buzz the other day and was greeted by a giant media temple splash page.
If Dreamhost ever gives me problems or Josh Jones from Dreamhost's monthly newsletters start to suck I will def. consider the MT upgrade.
...mainly for the Media Temple parties which I hear are only attended by the cooler of the bloggers out there.
  • Haha I'm sure I won't be getting any MT party invites anytime soon.

btw: If you ever switch over make sure you "Update Permalink Structure" under Options > Permalinks. Else you will leave all individual post pages dead for a weekend like I did.

    Damn.
  • good tip.
I can't forsee switching over anytime soon.
Things are just peachy with dreamhost.
  • thank for sharing this tool..
i like the post by the way.
